AMUSING EXPERIENCES

CHOCOLATE TASTE

Long time ago I traveled East Europe with three friends. In Bulgaria, one of my friends got constipation and anal pain, probably because of stress and changes of diet. He went to see a doctor in Sofia and received some drugs.

While climbing mountains, we stopped for lunch and I noticed him taking his drug. I asked him if it worked and he answered he felt much better after taking it. He also told us the drug tasted like chocolate. I felt however something was amiss as the drug was very large; about one inch in length; and was cylindrical in shape.

The packet showed it was a suppository! He had not understood the doctor's instructions. Anyway it worked for him, even though it was taken if orally.

HAMBURGER

Twenty years ago, I found a brand new hamburger vending machine standing in the corridor of a institute. With keen interest I checked it and pushed the button. Three minutes later a hamburger box popped out! I was about to eat it, because I was hungry, but I wondered why it came out for free.

At that time, a researcher of the food sanitation came and shouted "Don't eat it, it's now being tested". He told me they had put some bacteria on the hamburger to examine the bacterial-killing efficiency of the machine's heater.

I learned that something that maybe free can be dangerous and should be avoided at all costs.

A SCHOOL TOUR(from a newspaper )

When they went on a high school tour in Kyoto, they talked togerther till late at night in their room. A female teacher entered the room and told them to go to sleep immediately.

He lay down but could not sleep because he was so shocked at seeing her face without eyebrows! She had washed off her make-up.

TOASTER

Babies are curious about everything. When I bought a new cassette recorder, my child (two or three years old) wanted to touch it. One day he opened the cover, inserted a slice of bread and pushed the button. He thought it was a kind of toaster that he had seen in the kitchen. Of course the new machine didn't work after that!

OUTDOORS

I once lived in an apartment near Tennoji park where lots of homeless people lived outdoors. In a small park, near a shrine several of them were cooking when a family passed by. I heard a girl say to her mother,

" They are having fun outdoors!"

A GIRL

Shoichi Ozawa is a famous actor, who has a funny talk program on the radio. He once spoke about a ridiculous mistake he made.

He wa surrounded by girls after doing a drama in a theater, and realized that he had met one of the girls, with her mother, before. So, he asked her "How's your mother? (Okkasan wa genki ka?)"  She answered  "She is fine, thank you", smiling.

That evening, at home, he saw the girl on TV with her mother. She was the princess and her mother was the empress!

UNAWERES

One day I bought a novel and on my way home I noticed I didn't receive the change.

I went back to the bookstore, and met the clerk who was looking for the man who had bought a novel and paid nothing---it was me!

Who are you?

An ex prime minister had learned English greeting before he met President Clinton, like this; How are you? Fine, thank you, and you? Me too. However, he made a mistake and asked Who are you? Mr. Clinton was surprised but answered I am Hiralys husband, and our ex prime minister said Me too

When a Japanese traveled in USA, he had some trouble in his stomach and went to see a doctor. Doctor asked him " How are you?" and then he answered  "Fine, thank you, and you?"

WARNING

Warning for men at a restaurant's restroom near American Embassy at Tokyo is as follows: " Your Honest John is not so long as you think"

SHOES

There used be a big flea market at Nipponbashi near Tennoji, after the World War Two. They sold anything there.

One day, a man bought a pair of shoes and found next morning that they had been gnawed by his cat. The sole had been made of dried squid and had been painted black.

One day, he had one shoe stolen from home, and found it at the flea market. He had to buy it back!
